It’s less than 40 days to November 6th and the 1st Presidential debate doesn’t take place until this coming week. This election is the most important election of our lifetimes. It is imperative that the principles of “Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets” are supported at the ballot box.
Already the pollsters would have you believe the election is all but over. Most polls show Obama in the lead both nationally and in the “swing” states. Many indicate that Obama is leading by double digits.
But what do polls actually show? They show exactly what the pollsters want them to show and the liberals producing the polls want them to show Obama with a nearly insurmountable lead.
Early voting has already started in several states. If the polls can discourage voters from voting for Romney-Ryan because they will be “wasting” their vote, then the pollsters have done their job in furthering the Obama cause.
How can they accomplish this? If the Democrat/Republican disparity in samples is increased from +3 to +9 in favor of the Democrats or the sampling of 18-25 year old voters (higher Democrat support) is increased and the number of seniors (higher Republican support) sampled is decreased then the results show greater support for Obama and more discouraged Republican voters.
Is Romney-Ryan actually behind? Most likely, though not by nearly as much as Obama and the press would have you believe. The Romney campaign continually allows itself to be distracted from delivering the economic message it must get across to voters. Even when they are on topic, the press seems to do all they can to stifle or corrupt it.
What can we do?
First, we can not let ourselves be discouraged. Polls in the 1980 election at this point indicated that Reagan was further behind than Romney. Reagan prevailed.
Second, support your candidate; if not with dollars then by putting your “boots on the ground.”
- Walk your precinct. There are many resources available to let you know who you need to get the message of “Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets”out to.
- Participate in a phone bank. Again there are many resources to make it possible to place calls anywhere in the country without charge. Do it from the comfort of your home or have a phone bank party.
- Talk to your friends and family to make sure the message of “Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets” gets out. Make sure you, your friends and your family are registered to vote. One of the most shocking statistics coming out is that 30-50 per cent of Evangelical Christians are not registered to vote. They should not be sitting on the sidelines allowing their First Amendment rights to be trampled into oblivion.
Third, support those who will support the principles of “Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets” at all levels of government. This is particularly important regarding your choice of Senators and Congressmen to go to D. C.
Fourth, VOTE. Encourage your friends and family to VOTE. If they need assistance in completing and returning their ballot. Don’t allow someone less trustworthy than yourself to assist them. Who knows what may happen to their VOTE. We are told that voter fraud is nearly non-existent, but nearly everyday we read of one or more occurrences of the crime. Every time a state tries to ensure that the person casting the vote is the person eligible to cast the vote, they are called “racists.”
This election is the most important election of our lifetimes. The message of “Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets” needs to prevail on November 6th. What have you done to determine its outcome?
